I called Sears and asked them to repair at no charge because they sold us along with so many others refrigerators with compressors that fail withinĪ few years, which online I have seen complaint after complaint all with bad compressors the person I spoke with hung up on me. Which is very common, he suggested not repairing because it will happen again. We had a tech come out that was not affiliated with Sears and he said the refrigerator has and LG compressor that failed This refrigerator quit cooling on 1/02/22, I called Sears and they would not cover any expense for repairs. We purchased this refrigerator from Sears 3/18/18 for $1979.99 the total bill was $2643.33 with $499.99 for a 3 year warranty and tax of $163.35 tax If this is how Sears is conducting business nowadays we will not be buying any more Kenmore or Sears products. We have used Kenmore products very extensively in the past and were satisfied. They said we would have to wait until October when they can send out a serviceman and only he could tell us whether it is still under warranty or not. I gave the Sears service department the model number and serial number and they say they can't tell me if the sealed system is under warranty. ![]() We have contacted the Sears service department twice (the first time on July 9) and both times they told us we would have to wait until October before they could even come and look at it. They said Sears would have to deal with it because it is a Kenmore brand. We talked to LG and they said they would replace the compressor if it were not a Kenmore. We have had 2 servicemen (not Sears) look at it and they both say the compressor needs to be replaced. ![]() Our Refrigerator is less than 3 years old we purchased the unit on Sept 17, 2019, from Sears.
